Copy the catwalk: The detailed pony
Style this chic ponytail as seen at Ingrid Vlasov A/W11
1 Spritz & smooth
Prep hair with an all-over spritz of ghd Style Root Lift Spray to take away some of the ‘slip’ but add some shine. Make a tidy middle parting. Create a section on either side of your parting from your crown to your ear and clip each section out of the way. You should have three sections.
2 Pony up!
Take the section at the back of the head and smooth into a pony about halfway between your crown and nape. Secure with a no-snag elastic. Section by section, use the ghd gold max styler to smooth your hair from root to tip.
3 Pony up – again!
Working on the front sections either side of the middle part, smooth each to the nape of the neck and secure together in another pony with another elastic. You should have two ponies now – one high, one low.
4 Do the detail
Smooth the high pony over the low pony and secure it in place with another elastic.
5 neaten up
Wrap a small piece of hair around the band to disguise it and pin in place with a grip or two. Spritz some ghd Style Final Fix Hairspray over the 'hair band' to hold it in place.
6 The finishing touch
To give your look some final polish, use the ghd gold max styler to straighten and smooth the lengths of your ponytail. Work through the ponytail section by section to ensure a high-shine, kink-free finish.
