London Fashion Week kicks off with ghd & Fyodor Golan

We kicked off London Fashion Week S/S 12 with tribal-inspired ponytails at Fyodor Golan. Here's how the look came together backstage with team ghd, led by Creatve Director Kenna

Ancient tribes and civilisations provided the inspiration for the slick double ponytails at Fyodor Golan.

The styling

To work with the angles and panelling in the collection, the high pony is pulled down to join a diamond section at the nape. The hair is raked back from the brow with a wide-tooth comb to give the texture of windswept desert dunes.

The two ponytails are joined with a snag-free band and wrapped with hair. A spritz of ghd Style Final Fix Hairspray and heat from the ghd air hairdryer secure the band in place.

The finshed look worked with the collection's statement hats.

The clean lines of the look worked perfectly with the extravagnt shapes and rich textures of the collection.
