Say hello to Kenna

He’s ginger, loves London and is blown away by Beyonce. He’s also one of the most in-demand session stylists on the fashion and celebrity circuit. It’s time to meet ghd's Creative Director, Kenna

Q: Who's your model of the moment?
A: Arizona Muse. Her hair is such a brave modern length and her face is so unique. And she's a young mum, which is impressive knowing how much we travel.

Q: Which photographer would you most like to work with?
A: It’s two, Inez van Lamsweerde And Vinoodh Matadin. They make women look beautiful in any situation and on every level. The photographic moments they capture imprint on your brain forever.

Q: What's your ambition?
A:To head-up the hair team at the couture shows in Paris.

Q: What's your biggest source of inspiration?
A: Young people!

Q: How would you describe your style of work?
A: Different every day.

Q: Who do you admire and why?
A: Right now, it’s Beyonce. She’s a true entertainer and performer and an amazing artist. I have to admit, her music was never my thing, but it is now! The people she surrounds herself with – producers, directors, make-up artists – are amazing. The whole Beyonce experience is aspirational.

Q: What five words best describe you?
A: Energetic. Passionate. Ginger. Conscientious. Grafter.

Q: What makes you happy?
A: I feel truly happy when I am inspired. There's no better feeling.

Q: What's your favourite city?
A: London. It’s home and I know where everything is. Its fast-paced style paves the way for some truly inspiring fashion and sub-cultures.

Q: What's your biggest challenge?
A: Having time to please everyone.

Q: What do you like to do when you're not working?
A: I love visiting car boot sales and thrift stores to search for weird and wonderful things to collect.
