Go behind-the-scenes at the ghd and FAME Team film noir shoot.
The director's cut
Inspired by the femmes fatales of film noir, this dramatic shoot is the first collaboration between industry rising stars the FAME Team and ghd
Each year, four talented stylists under the age of 25 are selected from hundreds of industry hopefuls for a place in the FAME team. Founded by The Fellowship for British Hairdressing (the hairdressing industry’s leading creative body) the talent-nurturing initiative has seen some of the country’s most successful hairdressers graduate from its 12-month programme of intensive creative tutoring.
This year Joey Ferraro of Halo in Harrogate, Altin Ismaili of Marc Antoni, in Woodley, Leah Walton of The Colour Room, Stockport, and Natalia Maxwell of Georges in Leicester made the FAME Team cut.
On a perennial hunt for the next generation of hair geniuses, ghd collaborated with the FAME team on this stylish collection. Inspired by the femmes fatales of film noir – think Marlene Dietrich huskily conspiring in a smoke-filled room – the shoot was led by ghd Creative Director Andreas Stavrou, who showed the team some styler wizardry before letting them loose on photographer Jack Eames’ set.
