RED HOT
Fiery red hair has been the style of choice for on-trend celebrities this year. From pop-princesses to acting A-listers, everyone has been reaching for the red dye; making flame hued locks the new must-have hair colour.
All shades and intensities of red are in fashion, from soft and feminine strawberry blonde as worn by Ashlee Simpson, to the dark and vampy ruby which Cheryl Cole experimented with.
To find your perfect shade, work with your own natural colouring. Coppery bases are perfectly offset against skin which has natural flush of pink, whilst dark plummy tones suit olive skin. Pale complexions can pull off vivid, vibrant reds which have the added benefit of warming a washed out pallor. Don’t be afraid to play with the colour, finding a shade which suits your personality as well as your skin tone.
Try ghd opulence mask to keep newly coloured locks bright and healthy.

MAKING WAVES
With the eccentric eighties barnet in full swing it’s good to see luscious, rolling waves are making a comeback for the winter; providing a less edgy, more classical hair trend for the upcoming season.
This season, hair is bouncy, voluminous and wavey with a touch of vintage glamour. Seventies starlets like Farah Fawcett and Bianca Jagger, with their rock-chick curls and flirty flicks, are the icons to look to for inspiration but for a modern feel keep the waves polished and orderly.
Get the look at home with your ghd IV styler; insert the styler vertically at the roots, holding the ends of the hair with your free hand. Turn the styler around 180 degrees, gently and slowly pulling it down the hair lengths until you reach the ends. For hair which loses its hold quickly, ghd elevation shampoo & ghd elevation conditioner bestows hair with added oomph. See the ghd hairstyle guide for further inspiration

GOOT WORK
Set in a derelict car park, Josh Goot’s Spring/Summer London Fashion Week show was expected to be bursting with tough attitude. Instead, a show-stopping delight of bright, paint box hues and geometric patterns was on offer. The bold orange, pink and turquoise prints sat next to simple black and white designs, popping against the stark concrete backdrop.
Whilst clean cut shift dresses, skinny legged trousers and jackets nipped in at the waist made up the bulk of the collection, it was the stunningly daring body-con dresses which had the fashionable front row going weak at the knees.
Reflecting the smooth lines of Goot’s designs, the ghd Directive worked away backstage to create a sharp and refined hairstyle. The model’s locks were slicked back to the crown where the hair took a softer approach, hiding behind the shoulders in one, poker straight piece and letting the clothes’ striking block patterns do the talking.
