Model has fine hair in a one-length bob with a centre parting and striking fringe. It has been cleansed & nourished using ghd thermodynamics™ products from step 1, and blow-dried smooth using the paddle brush.

Take a section from the front recession area (all around the head just above the occipital bone) and clip it out of the way. Mirroring this, take another 1" deep section approximately

half an inch back from the recession area, allowing tendrils to fall around the face. Twist and back-brush this second section.

ghd ceramic brush (large)

hair padding

Spray this second section with ghd fixation spray and pin against the head to give a base for the padding to be pinned to.

To create the padding, mould acrylic hairpieces into the shape and size required, then secure with pins.
(Shape and size of padding will be determined by amount of hair remaining to cover it).

Releasing the hair you clipped out of the way earlier, take sections approximately 1" deep diagonally and smooth with the ghd original ceramic styling iron until you reach the top of the head.

Ensure all padding is covered by taking 1/2" deep sections and working around the head, moulding hair around the padding and securing with grips.

Subdivide the remaining section around the crown, and extend over the centre parting to create a second area. Secure this hair out of the way.

Continue to mould the hair around the padding to the front of the head. An exaggerated shape will emerge, dependent on the amount of hair and shape and size of padding.

Ensure both sides of the head are balanced, and create softness around the face with tendrils from step 2.

Release and dress the section from step 6 to give a soft, feathered texture over the moulded shape.

The finished look.
