These irons do exactly as they are supposed to. I am a tad disappointed by how much my hair seems to get caught in the sides of the plates though, at times I feel as though my hair does not glide through as well as it should. I sometimes fear my hair may get caught and break which interrupts me styling my hair - no good when I'm in a hurry and creating a quick work to night out transformation. Although the temperature is no doubt at a safe heat to allow minimal damage to hair, I would personally prefer a slightly higher temperature to straighten my hair quicker and would in future probably look for that in a product. Patience is needed at times if like me you have a lot of thick hair.
Otherwise the rounded barrel that these irons offer provide an excellent angle to create funky curls and bouncy flicks. When creating funky up-do's, spikes, quiffs and mo-hawks, the short plates are an ideal shape and are a manageable size to manoeuvre. Having the heat mat to sit the irons on allow for a burn-free floor. Being a gal on the go who is very forgetful, the 30 minute safety feature is very very handy and has saved me from the wrath of my other half [and more importantly possible fires] many times!
A good lasting product overall.

I do feel although it is good, it doesn't straighten my hair as much as my old set, I have been told they do not get as hot as the old ghd"s I have very frizzy curly hair, and my new ghd's do not work as well as the old ones.

This product looks elegant and beautiful but more importantly it has great features and works really well. It heats up fast and even has a protector safety switch to go off in case you forget! It straightens my hair perfectly every time and I would recommend wholeheartedly!

This product is amazing. It doesn't make your hair oily quickly like other straighteners do and it stays dead straight for days. One issue was that I can't use cream based hair products while using the straightener as it does not work well. Instead you can straighten your hair completely then apply the product, then straighten your hair as a finishing touch; it works well then. Overall, I enjoy using it as it heats up fast, goes on sleep mode when it is not being used and comes in vibrant bold colours.
I would definitely recommend this to a friend and buy more products from ghd, they have not let me down.
