Festival hair tips
No water? No problem! Our experts reveal the tricks to keeping your hair looking fresh when you're at a festival.
Always start with your hair down and work your way up as the weekend progresses. Twists and braids are simple to create and can be done without the luxury of a mirror!

You'll probably be taking dry shampoo to a festival, but my top trick is not to use it once your hair is already dirty! Use it immediately after styling your hair; rub it into the crown, parting and hairline and it'll preserve your blow-dry for a super long lasting style.

Think accessories and get creative! Liven up your hair, no matter what it looks like with small flowers, slides or bows.

Fight floppy hair with lots of movement! Wear hair up in scalp plaits, knots or even small twists - if you get rained on, it doesn't matter... just let your hair dry out in the sun, undo the plaits and shake out vigourously for BIG hair!

If your hair is feeling less than fresh, get it up away from your face! Scrunch in some curl hold spray, put up into a ponytail and wrap it around on itself to create a textured topknot.
RYAN HUMPAGE, ghd STYLE SQUAD 2013/14
Reactivate dirty hair with root lift spray and a little water. Scrunch it in and you'll have gutsy grunge texture!

My top tip for festival hair is to invest in a headscarf. Retro is in and it doesn't get more vintage than this - it's the perfect cover up!
