Monique Lhuillier. ghd continues to establish itself as the hair beauty range at the forefront of fashion, style and image, creating the looks for New York Fashion Week’s hottest shows -- Alexandre Herchcovitch, Miss Sixty, Proenza Schouler, and Monique Lhuillier… read on to find out what went down on the runways: ALEXANDRE HERCHCOVITCH Inspired by political turmoil in countries across the world, Herchcovitch featured structured military-like designs with ethnic details and voluminous accents. The ghd Directive Team used their arsenal of ghd IV stylers, ghd sea spray, and ghd obedience cream to form feminine, bohemian-inspired braids infused with structure and elegance to compliment the military-inspired runway looks. MISS SIXTY The urban superheroine ruled the runway at Miss Sixty, where stars including Blake Lively, Rosario Dawson, and Bijou Phillips looked on. The vibe was beautiful, charming and glamorously feminine as a modern homage to the passionate freethinking ideals and values of the 1970’s—liberation, freedom and self-confidence. The ghd Directive Team styled an edgy, urban-rocker chic look using ghd miracle mist to make hair look healthy, ghd maximise mousse to create volume, and ghd ultimate hairspray to hold the volume. For a modern twist, the team used the ghd IV styler to create unexpected “dents” in models’ tresses. Finally, the look was finished with ghd reflection spray for all-out shine. PROENZA SCHOULER Tough, confident, yet feminine—the ghd Directive Team used their ghd IV mini stylers to create a deep, eye-sweeping finger wave artfully pulled back to one side, complimenting the military feel on the runway at Proenza Schouler. ghd sea spray was worked through the hair to soften the waves, which were then finished with a light mist of ghd ultimate hairspray. Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough brought in a packed show including Proenza devotees Mary-Kate Olsen, Nicole Richie, and Kanye West. MONIQUE LHUILLIER At Monique Lhuillier, the look was all about relaxation, glamour, and luxury. To go with the tropical island style, the ghd Directive Team created an easy, relaxed chignon with a slightly wind-swept vibe. Hair was straightened with the ghd IV styler, then misted with ghd sea spray for a texture-laden base. The hair was twisted into a chignon, pinned into place, and finished with ghd ultimate hairspray. Front row guests included Zoe Saldana, Elizabeth Banks, and Perrey Reeves who all admired the bright collection and stunning beauty looks.

ghd continues to establish itself as the hair beauty range at the forefront of fashion, style and image. After creating the looks for NYFW's hottest shows -- Proenza Schouler, Monique Lhuillier, Erin Fetherston and Bill Blass by Peter Som -- ghd shifted into celeb mode to tackle the runways and red carpets for Fall 2008 LA Fashion Week:
ERIN FETHERSTON
To kick off the week in style, ghd presented the unveiling of A Dreamy Wander, a film by Ellen Von Unwerth and Erin Fetherston, starring Zooey Deschanel and featuring the designer’s Fall 2008 Collection at Hollywood hot spot, Villa. Rosario Dawson, Angie Harmon, Leelee Sobieski, Katharine Towne and uber-stylist Rachel Zoe all eagerly nabbed an array of must-haves from the ghd thermodynamics® hair beauty range! Even Spice Girl Mel B. was overheard saying, “I LOVE ghd! Their stylers are the best!” as she eyed the ghd goodies in her gift bag.
WHITLEY KROS
The theme was all about big hair at the celeb-infested Whitley Kros show as the ghd Directive Team created a look that paid homage to Melanie Griffith in the 80’s classic Working Girl involving big curls and tons of volume using ghd fat hair lotion and ghd sea spray. Created by Beck’s wife and Giovanni Ribisi’s sister, Marissa Ribisi, and her longtime friend Sophia Coloma, Whitley Kros brought in a show packed with stars
including Juliette Lewis, Kirstie Alley, Erika Christensen, Bijou Phillips, Robin Antin and Jenna Elfman, who all admired the bright collection and inspired looks.
NICHOLAI by NICKY HILTON
“That’s hot, right?,” asked Paris Hilton as her boyfriend Benji Madden nodded in agreement after she got a touch up with some ghd ultimate hairspray backstage at her sister’s show. The ghd Directive Team kept the look simple and sleek to match Nicky Hilton’s equally sleek equestrian-themed Fall collection while celebs including the entire Hilton family, Dania Ramirez, Pussycat Dolls’ singer Carmit Bachar, and Christine Lakin took home ghd sea spray from the front row gift bags.
ASHLEY PAIGE
Inspired by the late Isadora Duncan, the runway beauty look brought a modern twist to the 20’s/30’s flapper wave. George Clooney’s girlfriend, model Sarah Larson, and reality TV star Caroline D’Amore were among the models who floated down the runway wearing romantic curls and waves adorned with intricate headpieces to channel the beauty from days past. Front row guests including Jenna Jameson, Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba, Sean William Scott and actress Apollonia Kotero snagged some ghd ultimate hairspray and ghd thermal protector at the show!
