ghd & Victoria Beckham AW16 Trend Report

New York Fashion Week took place last week with the partnership between ourselves here at ghd and fashion designer Victoria Beckham.

International session stylist Guido Palau created the perfect look for the autumn/winter show; the modern ponytail.

Using Victoria's vision of the Victoria Beckham woman, which has been developed and defined over the last few season's, he created the "minimal but polished dual-textured ponytail" to fit with the aesthetic of the show.

Using the ghd air® hairdryer Guido blow-dried the hair back from the models' faces to create a clean and frizz-free hairline. This was then secured into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck with an elastic.

To achieve some minimal loose movement in the ponytail, Guido "bent" the sections of the hair around the ghd curve® soft curl tong.

A generous application of hairspray is used to complete the look which not only creates hold but also gives a glossy, almost wet-look finish at the front.
