Strike a pose! Our competition winners Chantelle and Melissa certainly did when we invited them to model for us in their very own photoshoot
Wow! What a difference a day makes, well a day that involves being pampered from head to toe by a team of pros, that is. When we held our Iconic Eras of Style Facebook competition earlier in year, it was Chantelle Barker who posted the Iconic Eras-inspired look that won her a professional photoshoot for two.
Chantelle and pal Melissa Roby joined our very own Glam Squad, led by stylist Sophie Laidlaw of the ghd Artistic Team, for pampering, posing, camera flashing and lots of new ideas for glamming-up for a night out. Here’s the story of the day...

The preparation begins
We wanted to give Chantelle and Melissa three different looks to see them through the party season. The ghd Glam Squad set to work to get them party perfect...
Party make-up isn't complete without a set of fluttering false lashes.
You can't hit the dancefloor without a pop of bright red lippy teamed with a smokey eye!
The finished looks
With hair, make-up and wardrobe complete, it's time to get the girls in front of the camera.
A 60s-inspired pony with sleek and shiny lengths
Softly tousled curls, teased out for a full-on glamorous look
The headbands give this bun an edgy rock chic feel
Gentle waves are perfect when you're going from day to night
Those waves were loosly pinned up for this pretty updo
Backcombing and a headband add vintage styling to this half-up
The girls are ready to party!
Presenting Chantelle and Melissa, coming to a party near you...
A sleek pony or some laidback waves are perfect for dressing down for day and glamming up for night
Give your look an edge by trying backcombing and accessories. These styles look best when they're not perfect, making them quick and easy to do.
Glam up to the max with bold curls and bright lips. Mix things up by wearing your waves in an updo – the messier the better!
