ghd x Philosophy SS20
Join ghd behind the scenes at Milan Fashion Week and discover the Philosophy SS20 collection, with hair styled by James Pecis.
THE INSPIRATION
Backstage, the ghd hair-stylist team oversaw the hair looks of the Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini SS20 collection.
The Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini SS20 collection is inspired by the timeless elegance of the 70s and 80s Monte Carlo jet set, mixing the most classic and romantic look with a more rebellious and unstructured soul, for a perfect woman who doesn't give up with her freedom.
On the catwalk, Breton stripes were worn, along with plissé chiffon dresses and high-waisted and slightly bell-shaped trousers. Denim tweed becomes a print chiffon and features mini dresses with corsets and flowers.

THE HAIR STYLE
Lead stylist James Pecis says of the hair look: “We were inspired by one of my favourite decades: the 70s. The hair had a fluid movement; a flowing hair look with very natural waves typical of that period."

Get the Look:
To get the hair look, dry the hair with ghd air® hairdryer and ceramic brush bringing them to the back of the head to add volume.
Use ghd root lift spray to the roots and dry it with ghd air® hairdryer for added volume.
Separate the hair in macro sections and fix them with a clip. Work with ghd curve® soft curl tong, creating voluminous and full-bodied waves. In case of very straight hair use ghd curve® classic curl tong.
Brush the waves with ghd oval dressing brush for a natural and light finish.
Twist the two frontal sections and bring them together on the back side of the head; let the waves flow softly to obtain a light and natural effect.
