All of our products come with a maufacturer's warranty which allows you to return a faulty product within this period.

HOW DO I RETURN MY PRODUCT?
Of course every ghd product is created to the highest standards and rigorously checked before it is unleashed. But if, for any reason, you need to return your styler or any other ghd product, we'll ensure the whole process is as simple and speedy as possible.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY HAIR DRYER?

To ensure that your ghd hair dryer operates at the optimum efficiency, the rear filter should be kept clean by regularly cleaning it (please see safety instructions). Damage caused by failure to comply with these cleaning instructions is not covered by the manufacturer’s guarantee.

ARE THERE ANY EXCLUSIONS TO THE WARRANTY?

Yes, there are some exclusions to the warranty:

  • Accidental damage or incorrect usage will not be covered
  • If any repairs have been attempted by a third party the warranty will be void
  • We are also unable to honour any warranty where your styler has been purchased from an unauthorised distributor; in this instance your consumer rights would lie with the point of sale.

If you are ordering from the UK/Rest of World website, your product will come with a UK 3 pin plug. For international use please use a travel adapter.

CAN I USE MY ghd PRODUCT OUTSIDE THE UK?

The ghd stylers, ghd curve® and the ghd flight® travel hair dryer all have universal voltage, meaning you can use your product in any country using a travel adaptor.


The ghd air® and ghd aura® hair dryers will only work in countries where a 220-240V power supply is available. We recommend you check the voltage available in your destination before you travel.

HOW DOES THE UNIVERSAL VOLTAGE WORK ON MY ELECTRICAL PRODUCT?

ghd stylers, ghd flight® and ghd curlers adapt automatically to the country's voltage, simply use the country specific travel adapter and style as usual. With the ghd flight® travel hair dryer you will need to select the correct voltage, which can be easily adjusted using the dual voltage switch.


To do this:

Insert a “tool” (e.g coin, screwdriver) that fits in the slot of the voltage switch inside the handle and turn it to either “120V” or “240V” based on the mains voltage of the visiting country.


If in doubt please refer to the swing tag attached to the hair dryer or instructions manual.

WHAT ARE THE STYLER PLATES MADE OF?

The plates are made of aluminium which is used because it has powerful heat conducting properties – four times better than steel. The aluminium is coated with a thin layer of an advanced ceramic coating, which helps the plates glide smoothly through the hair and leaves hair looking shiny. The combination of the excellent heat properties of aluminium and the smoothing properties of the thin ceramic coating gives you the great styling results you expect from ghd. You may notice a slight gap between the plates - do not worry as this is a design feature that allows for thermal expansion to take place. All of our stylers heat up to the optimum styling temperature of 185ºC - a safer for hair heat.

DOES MY STYLER HAVE A SLEEP MODE?

Safety continues to be a priority at ghd. For your safety and peace of mind there is a sleep mode feature on all ghd stylers (excluding ghd model 3.1B). After 30 minutes without being used, the heated plates will switch off. When in sleep mode the light will flash and a warning beep will sound every 20 seconds. Simply switch the styler off then on again to resume styling.

WHAT ARE THE BRISTLES ON THE NATURAL BRISTLE BRUSHES MADE OUT OF?

The bristles on the Natural Radial Brush are Boar hair, and the handle is made from Beech Wood.  

The boar hair is obtained by shaving the animal. No animals are harmed in this process.

THERE IS A HOLE IN MY PADDLE BRUSH, WHAT IS THIS FOR?

We can confirm that there will be a hole in the paddle brush which may look as though a bristle is missing. This is a design feature to allow for air to escape from the pad and is not a fault.
