step two: Dry in with hairdryer to create texture and lift
Dry the product into the hair using ghd air® hairdryer and your fingers, lifting and shaking the hair to increase volume and texture..
step three: Section hair from ear to ear
Take a section of hair at the bottom of the head from ear to ear.
step four: Place curling wand above hair at root pointing downwards
On the first piece of hair, place the ghd curve ® classic wave wand above the hair at the root pointing downward.
step five: Twist wrap hair, hold for 5-8 secs
Twist wrap the hair around the barrel twice, keeping a straight end for a modern look. Hold for 5-8 seconds.
step 6: Repeat steps 4 and 5 but go below the hair
On the next section, repeat this technique but place the wand below the hair so you wrap in the opposite direction, creating a beachy finish.
step seven: Continue this alternating technique
Continue this technique, alternating above and below the hair to wrap in different directions. Remember to keep a straight end and not wrap the full length of the hair.
step eight: Dress hair with ghd detangling comb
Dress the hair by gently combing with a ghd detangling comb.
step nine: Take section from crown and secure
Separate a small section around the crown and clip away.
step ten: Take section of hair from one side, split into three
Taking a section of hair at the front, slightly to one side to pick up any shorter front sections. Starting at the furthest point, take a section and split it into three strands.
step eleven: Start braid, adding hair in from front
To pull the top of the braid around the hairline, start adding hair from the front as you pass the outer strands over the middle.
step twelve: Repeat until opposite temple, then go into simple braid
Do this until you reach the opposite temple, then go into a simple three strand braid adding no extra hair.
step thirteen: Hold one strand at bottom, push the rest upwards
At the bottom, hold onto one of the strands tightly, then push the rest of the braid upwards to create a more interesting ‘snake braid’.
step fourteen: Tease braid until desired
Pull and push on the braid to space as desired and add texture.
step fifteen: Take end of braid to back, secure with two grips
Sweep the end to the back and secure below the crown with a grip. Using 2 grips to create an X will give a more secure hold.
step sixteen: Drop clipped away section for natural look
Take the area previously clipped up and allow it to fall naturally and cover the grip at the back.
