Curly mohawk

Nothing says on-trend hair like a revitalised punk classic. Pair a no-fuss cool mohawk with glamorous curls for a look that packs in the attitude. Long hair works perfectly with this style, giving you plenty of hair to create eye-catching curls in your ‘hawk. This updo is big, bold, and easier to create than you might think.

Here’s how to create a curly mohawk

1: Apply curl spray to hair

2: Curl a small section of hair with a styler

3: Mould your hair into a mohawk shape

4: Add volume and structure

5: Apply hairspray to the end look

1: Apply curl spray to hair
Prep your dry hair with ghd curl hold spray before you begin styling.

2: Curl a small section of hair with a styler
Take a 2-3 inch section of hair and wrap it around the barrel of the ghd curve® soft curl tong. Hold for 5-8 seconds and release. Repeat throughout your locks.

3: Mould your hair into a mohawk shape
Use the ghd tail comb to pull the hair upwards and create sleek sides, gathering your curls on top of your head. Keeping the sides tight and kink free, secure your hair with pins around your crown.

4: Add volume and structure
Once your hair is secured, start to shape your curls, pulling in any loose ends and pinning each voluminous twist in place as you go.
Tip: For a flawless style, place your hair over your pins to conceal them as much as possible.

5: Apply hairspray to the end look
Finish with a generous mist of ghd final fix hairspray to bolster your style.

Triple buns

Forget the traditional bun. Take your look into the future with a triple dose of buns. With three tousled buns piled on top of each other, you’ll achieve a stunning updo that ticks all the trend boxes. This look works perfectly with mid-length and shorter hair, pulling in those stray locks that won’t fit into a topknot.
