How-to Hairstyles:
Laidback Luxe
Take a relaxed approach to your next wavy hairstyle with a laidback luxe look. With the help of the ghd styling essentials, play on your hair’s texture and create wavy hairstyles that exude elegance but are effortlessly easy.
Follow these simple step-by-steps to achieve beachy-esque wavy hair with just a hint of texture – worn long with flat roots.
Here’s how to get laidback tousled waves
1. Section hair and prep with ghd curl hold spray
2. Create three sections
3. Twist first section away from face
4. Wrap hair around curling wand and hold
5. Twist second section towards the face and repeat step 4
6. Repeat throughout, alternating curl direction each time
7. Work through hair with fingers to create waves

step one: Section hair and prep with curl hold spray
Take a section of hair above the ear and prep with ghd curl hold spray.

step two: Create three sections
Split the section of hair in three equal sections.

step three: Twist first section away from face
To create a defined wave with flatter roots, twist the first of the sections away from face.

step four: Wrap hair around curling wand and hold
Using a twist wrap method, hold the ghd curve® creative curl wand vertically for 5-8 seconds (use the cool tip) to curl the hair.

step five: Twist second section towards the face and repeat step 4
Take the next section of hair and twist towards the face (rather than away, like with the first section) and repeat curling technique from step four.

step six: Repeat throughout, alternating curl direction each time
Alternate the direction of the curling technique throughout hair to create haphazard waves.

step seven: Work through hair with fingers to create waves
Gently rake through with fingertips to loosen the curl into a tousled wave.
