Here’s how to create a halo braid
1. Create centre parting
2. Take section from parting and split into 3
3. Pass the left side under the centre
4. Take the right and pass under the centre
5. Add extra hair in and repeat technique
6. Repeat steps 4, 5 and 6
7. Continue braiding up to 1 inch from hairline
8. Braid up to starting point on other side
9. Use all hair, braid to the end and secure
10. Pull braid out to widen
11. Wrap both braids around head
12. Secure in place
step two: Take section from parting and split into 3
On the lower side of the parting, take a section and split into three.
step three: Pass the left side under the centre
Take the strand of hair on the left hand side and pass it underneath the centre strand.
step four: Take the right and pass under the centre
Then take the strand of hair on the right-hand side and pass under the centre.
step five: Add extra hair in and repeat technique
On the second pass, start to add a small amount of hair as you braid, take the time to ensure it’s neat, and then pass under the centre.
step six: Repeat steps 4, 5 and 6
Continue this action from right to left, continually adding hair and passing under each time.
step seven: Continue braiding up to 1 inch from hairline
As you start to come to the bottom of the ear, continue braiding around the head with the same action – keeping the braid about an inch from the hairline.
step eight: Braid up to starting point on other side
As you come to the other side of the head, continue braiding up to the starting point.
step nine: Use all hair, braid to the end and secure
Once you run out of hair to add, continue braiding to the end and secure with a clear elastic.
step ten: Pull braid out to widen
Go back along the braid and pull gently to widen the braid.
step eleven: Wrap both braids around head and tuck in
Wrap the end of the braids around the head and tuck in from the top, hiding the end behind the main part of the braid.
step twelve: Secure in place
Secure with grips as needed.
