How-to Step-by-Steps:
Platinum Texture

The innovative ghd platinum® styler uses safer-for-hair heat that delivers ultimate styling results in just one stroke.

Crafting textured curly hairstyles has never been easier. If you’ve got long hair and want inspiration for a new look to add to your style arsenal, platinum texture curls are the answer. Whatever your hair type, creating curly hairstyles for long hair can bring that nonchalant bounce to your locks, and the platinum texture curl will add a silky finish to your tresses.

Achieve the professional style you crave from your own home with ghd styling tools. Using our patented tri-zone® technology, the ghd platinum® styler maintains a safer-for-hair heat from root to tip. The wishbone hinge allows greater control and a perfect glide for curly hairstyles, so you can straighten, curl and style without compromising the health of your hair.*

Follow these simple step-by-steps and learn how to curl your hair to achieve that platinum texture look.

Here’s how to create platinum texture curls

1. Spritz hair with curl hold spray

2. Create parting, split hair from crown to ear and take section from front

3. Use styler to create curls

4. Brush through curls with comb to break up

step one: Spritz hair with curl hold spray

Prepare the hair with ghd curl hold spray, ensuring the product is evenly spread across all the hair.

step two: Create parting, split hair from crown to ear and take section from front

Select your desired parting, then using the ghd tail comb section the hair from your crown to your ears. Clip away the back sections and, starting from the front, take a 4cm horizontal section.

step three: Use styler to create curls

Place the ghd platinum® styler at root of the hair, rotate the styler away from your face and gently pull through the length of the hair to create a curl. With the next section of hair, rotate the styler towards from your face and gently pull through the length of the hair to create a curl. Repeat across the whole head.

step four: Brush through curls with comb to break up

When all of the hair has been curled, gently brush through the hair with the ghd detangling comb to break up the curls.
