ghd x MSGM
Join ghd behind the scenes at Milan Fashion Week and take a look at MSGM AW19 collection, with hair styled by Antony Turner.
In the backstage, the ghd-stylist team created romantic looks inspired by the MSGM SPEZZACUORI (HEARTHBREAKER), an imaginary movie which presents itself as a modern day fairy tale in the streets of Milan.
Massimo Giorgetti - designer of MSGM – wanted to narrate a love story, of female power in a dark romance sprit.
The iconic language of MSGM is embodied in vivid red hearts and broken hearts on mini bow dresses in blush pink taffeta.
"The hair look I created for the show are a celebration of individuality and female power", comments from the backstage of the FW19 collection the lead hairstylist Anthony Turner, supported by the ghd team for this event.
The hair stylist created natural and extremely feminine looks to represent this new chapter of the MSGM woman.
Through the hair looks Anthony Turner wants to tell an urban love story just like the one which inspired the collection and the fashion show.
Get the Look:
The key characteristic of the looks of this fashion show was to maintain the natural hair, utilizing the product to enhance the natural consistency without reshaping or redefying their structure.
To create the base for the look, Anthony Turner utilised ghd root lift spray giving volume to the roots and extra body to the hair. The looks were prepared using ghd air® hairdryer and hair was brushed back with the tips of the fingers to create a natural and soft effect. Shiny and glamorous waves were created on the lengths thank to the use of ghd curve® classic wave wand and natural straight hair was enhanced with ghd platinum+, the revolutionary ghd styler with ultra-zone con predictive technology able to adapt and understand hair needs. For some of the models pony tails were mixed and twisted with logoed MSGM foulards. To complete the look the hairstylist team used ghd final fix to preserve and maintain the natural volume of the hair.
Anthony Turner created iconic looks destined to endure in the collective imaginary.
