ghd STYLE SQUAD at LFW
Meet the three talented young stylists who were lucky enough to win a place working alongside ghd Creative Director Kenna and his team at London Fashion Week
L-R; Lucy Highland, Charlotte Roberts and Ben Russell
It was amazing to be part of a different side of hairdressing. My best experience at London Fashion Week was also my biggest challenge. A model came in from a previous show with wet-look hair that was hard to the touch and we had to undo the texture without washing it! We were able to completely transform her hair and it felt rewarding to be able to rise up to the challenge in a high pressure environment!
LUCY HIGHLAND, GEORGE'S HAIRDRESSING, LEICESTER
I've loved every minute of working at London Fashion Week. The best part has been watching how the initial hair concept is put together, and then seeing that style through to completion once the models make it onto the runway! The way every element of the hair complements the clothes story and comes together for the show, is what makes working at London Fashion Week so memorable.
BEN RUSSELL, HOUSE OF RUSH, PICCADILLY
Working at London Fashion Week has been a brilliant experience. You're in at the deep end and it's an excellent opportunity to prove yourself and show everyone what you are capable of. It's given me the chance to be more hands on and adapt to a completely different style of hairdressing. In particular, working on the David Koma show has been a highlight.
CHARLOTTE ROBERTS, THE BOUTIQUE SALON, ELLESMERE PORT
I'm incredibly proud of Lucy, Ben and Charlotte. They blended in seamlessly with the more experienced members of the session team - a true testament to their talent.
