Recreate the look:
Gwyneth Paltrow
After reviewing all the glamorous, and not so glamorous, looks at this year’s Golden Globe Awards, and debating the pros and cons of each, Nina Garcia and David Babaii mutually agreed that Gwyneth Paltrow had the best overall look. Now David shows super blogger Barefoot Blonde, aka Amber Fillerup, how to recreate Gwyneth’s winning look with ghd curve® curling irons.
Hint: the key to this look is variety.
Using two curling irons, a 1" on the front sections of hair and 1¼" on the back section, is the secret to creating these chic and sexy waves. The different barrel sizes help to break up the uniformity of the curls and keep the style looking more natural.

Step 1:
Create a center part and divide into 3 sections: two in the front and one in the back.

Step 2:
Starting with the back section, wrap a 1” section of hair around the ghd curve® soft curl iron. Hold for 8-10 seconds then release. Pull on the end of the curl for 2-3 seconds. This will create a looser curl.

Step 3:
Repeat until all the hair in the back section has been curled. Make sure to alternate the size and direction of each curl.
Tip: After the curl has cooled lightly rub it between your fingers to give it a bit of texture.

Step 4:
Curl the front sections of hair with the ghd curve® classic curl iron . Making sure to only curl the bottom half of the hair shaft, curls shouldn't go all the way to the root.
Tip: After the curl has cooled, grab the tip of it and lightly spin the hair in the same direction of the curl. This will loosen it up and create a softer look.

Step 5:
Repeat until all the hair has been curled. Make sure to alternate the size and direction of each curl .
Tip: Spray hairspray on a toothbrush and run the bristles over the roots to tame flyaways.
