Here’s how to create a dip-dye faux fishtail braid
1. Tie hair into a low side ponytail
2. Wrap a clip-in extension around it
3. Split into two, crossover and twist
4. Repeat through entire length
5. Pull out sections for texture
6. Color in the ends with chalk

step one: Tie hair into a low side ponytail
Using an elastic tie, collect the hair at the back of your head and tie into a low side ponytail.

step two: Wrap a clip-in extension around it
To give your hair added length, wrap a clip-in extension around the base of the ponytail.

step three: Split into two, crossover and twist
Taking both your natural ponytail and the added hair extension, create two sections of hair. Cross the two sections over and begin to twist together to create your fishtail braid.

step four: Repeat through entire length
Repeat step three throughout the lengths of your hair, until you reach the ends.

step five: Pull out sections for texture
Add texture to your fishtail braid by gently loosening out each section.

step six: Colour in the ends with chalk
Bring your festival hair fishtail to life by adding a pop of color to the end using chalk.
