step one: Prep hair with root lift product
For texture and lift, prep the hair with root lift spray.

step two: Twist dry hair with hairdryer
Using the ghd air® hairdryer, twist dry the hair, twisting small sections and drying the product in, whilst moving up and down the length of each twist for texture..

step three: Divide hair ear to ear
Divide the hair at the bottom of the head from ear to ear.

step four: Take small section, place curling wand above section and twist wrap middle of hair
Taking a smaller section, place the ghd curve® classic wave wand above of the section and twist wrap the middle of the hair around the full barrel.

step five: Move wand barrel up and down section for 5-8 seconds
Holding the end of the hair still, gently move the barrel up and down the section for 5-8 seconds. Moving the barrel like this will give you a looser, bigger wave.

step six: Take next small section, place curling wand below section and twist wrap middle of hair
On the next section of hair, this time place the wand below the section and twist wrap using the same technique, moving up and down for 5-8 seconds.

step seven: Repeat technique, alternating step 4, 5, 6
Repeat throughout the hair, always alternating the position of the wand above and below the sections for a more textured result.

step eight: Work paddle brush through hair
Brush the hair in multiple directions using a ghd paddle brush. This will add a soft texture to the waves.

step nine: Take section from top of head
Using both your index fingers, take a section at the top of the head and tie with a clear elastic. When taking the section, rock your fingers up and down to soften the parting.

step ten: Pinch roots for texture
Pinch the root area to add a lived in texture to the style.

step eleven: Twist pony and fatten the shape
Twist the loose pony, hold the end and push down to fatten the shape.

step twelve: Twist back onto itself then secure
Continue to twist the hair until it starts to fold back on itself and secure with a grip.

step thirteen: Spray with final fix hairspray and tease
Spritz hairspray on your fingers then massage the waves and top knot for added texture.
