Get the look:
From dawn until dusk, keep your wedding hair up and out the way with a chic bun style.
Let a bridal updo bring an informal touch to your big day. No longer do tresses have to follow the traditional bridal look, so don’t let your wedding hair conform to history. Keep your locks up and away from the moment you zip up your dress to when you kick your heels off at night with an elegantly-executed knotted updo.
Having free-flowing locks isn’t a must for your wedding day. Preserve sultry style with a low-sitting knot and bring a natural feel to the look by teasing tendrils with the ghd platinum+ styler at your front. Keep your bridal hair in place all day with a spray of hairspray and make sure you’re hair takes center stage.
Getting the perfect wedding hair has never been easier. Follow the ghd step-by-step to achieve a relaxed bridal hairstyle.
HERE’S HOW TO CREATE A BRIDAL BUN
1. Create a low ponytail.
2. Split pony in two, cross over and tie into knot.
3. Secure knot with pins.
4. Repeat across hair and tuck ends under knot.
5. Bend loose hairs from hairline away from face.
step one: Create a low ponytail
Using your fingers, soft rake through your hair and tie it into a low ponytail at the base of your neck.
step two: Split pony, cross over and tie into knot
Split the ponytail in two, the cross over each half, tie into a knot and pull to tighten.
step three: Secure knot with pins
With bobby pins, secure the hair knot in place.
step four: Repeat across hair and tuck ends under knot
Repeat step three until all your hair has been pinned into the knot, creating a bun-shaped style at the back of your head. Tuck any remaining ends under the knot and spritz with hairspray.
