HERE’S HOW TO CREATE A BUTTERFLY BRAID

1. Split hair into two sections

2. Take hair from the left and pass it under and over the two sections

3. Add more hair from the right and pass it under and over the sections

4. Continue to nape and add hair after passing each over & under

5. Secure ponytail and embellish

SPLIT HAIR INTO TWO SECTIONS

Starting at the crown, split the hair to create two equal sections.

TAKE HAIR FROM THE LEFT AND PASS IT UNDER AND OVER THE TWO SECTIONS

Taking the section of hair from the left-hand side of your head, pass it underneath the right-hand section and then take it over the two sections of formerly created sections.

ADD MORE HAIR FROM THE RIGHT AND PASS IT UNDER AND OVER THE SECTIONS

Then, take hair from the right-hand side of your head, pass it underneath and then over the created sections.

CONTINUE TO NAPE AND ADD HAIR AFTER PASSING EACH OVER & UNDER

Repeat steps three and four until you reach the nape of the neck. Every time you pass a section over and underneath, be sure to add in more hair from the sides.

SECURE PONYTAIL AND EMBELLISH

To finish, secure the braided hair with a hair band then add an embellishment to highlight the butterfly braid.
