I received the GHD Rise for my birthday and I’m so glad I did. I recently had my hair cut with long layers and this tool really gives an amazing salon-worthy blow dry effect. The curls created from this tool are perfect and I find that they hold into place for a while, even from having thick hair! The tool heats up quickly and I much prefer the GHD Rise to a standard curling wand, as you don’t seem to burn yourself as easily. It is best to start with smaller sections so the hair goes around the brush smoothly without getting stuck, rather than larger sections, as the hair can get a bit tangled up. My father is also a hairdresser and thinks this tool is of a very good standard. You must buy this product, you won’t be disappointed!

However I cannot get this product to create even one curl; many attempts, many different techniques tried and not one curl or even close, not even a wave. Certainly cannot create volume.
