ghd Platinum+ Flat Iron (1 inch plate) Black

I don’t particularly feel like I’ve had better results from this tool than the revlon straightener I used prior. I have super long, almost butt length hair and it’s got quite a strong curl. The quality is better obviously; it’s heavier, with a longer cord and the on off is the only button (and it turns on and heats up quick) so no fluffing around for temp, but that’s really it. I like my temp higher than this goes, I know it’s bad for my hair but my curls take more than one pass with cooler temps and I feel like one pass is a fair trade for higher temps. The ghd also has a small iron, it’s only 3inches or so long so a lot of my hair just misses the iron. Even with smaller chunks, the clip doesn’t close completely so without a ton of pressure my hair slips off the iron plates and doesn’t get straightened, so I have to be very careful. I didn’t see a whole lot of difference with less frizz or longer lasting straightening with this vs my old iron either. A lot of people have problems with like a flashing red light that then makes it impossible to use but I haven’t experienced that yet and hope I don’t so I can’t comment on that. Anyway, it’s good but it didn’t do such an amazing job that I would recommend people who aren’t looking to spend crazy money on a new one to buy this. It’s expensive and does the job of one I can get at Walmart.

I gave this flat iron 4 stars instead of 5 because it doesn’t have a temperature control, and honestly, it makes me a bit nervous not being able to adjust it. Other than that, I think it leaves hair looking beautiful—soft, shiny, and manageable. I was truly impressed with the final result. The flat iron is very lightweight, has a sleek and aesthetic design, and even features a small speaker that emits a sound when you turn it on and when it reaches its maximum temperature.

I’ve used quite a few iron over the years, and the ghd Platinum + styler definitely stands out. It feels like a professional tool right from the start it heats up quickly and glides through the hair very smoothly without pulling or snagging. What I noticed right away is how even the heat feels. It straightens my hair in fewer passes compared to cheaper iron I’ve used, which I really appreciate because it feels less damaging overall. My hair looks smoother, shinier and stayed longer.

This flat iron is so quiet and is a great product for both curling and straightening your hair. The cord doesn’t get tangled easy! It’s very durable and a stable product!

Heats up quickly and works just as expected for a hair straightener. I like that the outside of the flat iron is not 90 degrees because it can be easily used to create curls as well!
