Perfect hair on the go

I was really excited when my GHD Unplugged arrived as I was going to Spain for a holiday & travelling light. The case that it comes with the straighteners is heat resistant & perfect for slipping into your hand luggage as soon as you have used them, I didn’t even have to remove it from the case at security. I had tested the unplugged straighteners before going away as I wasn’t sure it was going to be up to the job. I’d read reviews about how long the charge lasts & have to say they are true. You need to charge for 2 hours before first use & it only lasted 12 minutes, not the 20 I’d expected. You also can’t use them while they charge which I found a little annoying. They have lights to indicate the amount of charge you have which is a really good feature, but you have to work quickly if you want to straighten all of your hair. They heat up really quickly & are easy to use, they don’t weigh much, again good for travelling, but they are not as good as my GHDs My hair is past my shoulders & naturally wavy. When I’m on holiday I tend to only use my straightener to tame my bangs, so they were great for that. They are not supposed to replace my original GHD Straighteners & I accept that.

Big things really do come in small packages!

To say I was surprised by the performance is an understatement. Perfect for windy or rainy days to straighten or re-style from day to night. The battery lasts for approximately 30mins and although small the heat performance is as expected from GHD. My hair is not easily controlled but these tamed my frizz and the results were long lasting. Lightweight and compact with a heatproof zipped case, making it very easy and safe to fit into a small handbag. Very impressed and excellent value for money.

Really special packaging and presentation. Excellent quality and design, a worthy addition to the ghd family. So convenient, quick to heat up, lightweight and comfortable to use. The styler plates are only nominally shorter than the original wired ghd styler. After use can be immediately placed in the heatproof case which is no larger than a soft narrow pencil case. Very neat, ideal when travelling or at the office. Conveniently to hand for those unexpected invitations or bad hair moments.

Game Changer for on the move!

Brilliant product! I have been using these cordless straighteners for the last week (every other day) and they are great. Admittedly they are heavier than normal GHD straighteners but I would expect this seeing as it’s rechargeable. The plates are also slightly smaller (compared to the straighteners I own) but the fact that it’s cordless in my opinion massively outweighs these. I fully charged the product before my first use and I have managed to use it 3 times and there is still a little bit of charge left. I have thick curly hair but haven’t been straightening it all over so I suspect if I did I wouldn’t get quite as many uses out of a full charge. Love the carry case that comes included in the festive gift set- there is a section for the charger and the straighteners and it’s lovely and small so would be easy to pop in your handbag / overnight bag etc. Also comes with a mini paddle brush which again is the perfect size for ‘on the go’! I am looking forward to next summer when we go camping with the kids and I can take this with me! As refreshing as it is to embrace natural hair when camping it will be an added bonus to have these with me! One other big positive for me was that I found it so much easier to curl my hair with these! I have never been great at using straighteners to curl (when I want more salon style curly hair than my natural hair) but not having the cord to get tangled up with was amazing! My daughter also has her eyes on these! Overall a fantastic product in a lovely gift set that I would highly recommend if you are on the move a lot!
