Is this product dual voltage (will it work in both the UK and US)?

Asked by: Rhon
We have 2 specific types of ghd air, one suited for a 220 volt/50 hertz system (that is the ghd air which you can buy in the UK) and one suited for countries having 110 volt/60 hertz electricity (that is the ghd air we sell in US and Canada). So if you travel from UK to US then unfortunately you cannot use the ghd air bought in Britain in the US, but if you travel to EU, South Africa or Australia then you can (if you use the correct plug adaptor).

How do you remove the filter from the Air?

The GHD Air manual talks about only using GHD filters, so one assumed it is removable. However, it is not obvious how to remove it (for cleaning) and I don't want to force it.
Asked by: tjbmot
To remove the filter from the ghd Air, twist it counter-clockwise. You will hear a clicking sound and you will be able to remove it and clean as necessary.

Voltage for ghd air

Love my ghd air and am gutted I can't use it in the USA because of the lower voltage. Where can I buy ghd products - air or aura - that will work in the USA 110 voltage? Would buy the Flight dryer, but doesn't look like there is a diffuser to go with this model.

If you are wanting to use the Air or the Aura in the USA you would need to purchase it from America for the voltage to be compatible. The diffuser has only been designed to use with the Air hairdryer. .

Got my ghd air for Christmas. When drying hair it feels like cold air is slightly blowing out from around where the control buttons are on the handle. Is this normal?

Due to the nature of the design and the way the internal wires are routed inside the casework a small amount of air will escape through the swtiches.

Which is the better hair dryer, the air? Or Aura?

Asked by: lr100
The ghd air® is more of a powerful blow dry. It has an ergonomic design, advanced ionic technology, variable power & temperature controls, including cool shot, plus a 3m long power cable. The ghd aura® embodies more precision styling features. It's Laminair™ technology delivers a concentrated non-turbulent stream of air, giving you exceptional styling precision and control. Cool-Wall™ technology creates a ring of cool air around the hot air. The motor is smaller quieter and more energy efficient. It also has a 4m long power cable with the power block built into it making the hairdryer much much lighter.

Asked by: Maria54
The ghd air® hairdryer is our most powerful hairdryer, with a 2,100W professional-strength motor it provides a super-fast drying experience. The ghd aura® hairdryer is less powerful, however it uses patented laminair® technology to provide a more concentrated air flow, which results in exceptional styling precision and control.
