8. Secure end of braid with hair grip
9. Spray hair with curl hold spray
10. Take ear-to-ear section
11. Place styler at root, rotate half turn and glide
12. Repeat step 11, working in opposite direction
13. Continue to curl all hair, alternating direction each time
14. Work through hair with comb

step one: Create 1-inch deep hairline section, clip away rest of hair
Separate the hairline section approximately 1-inch deep and clip away the remaining hair.

step two: Take section from start of hairline, split into three
Beginning at one side of your head, take the start of the hairline section and split it into three strands.
TOP TIP: To pull the braid around the hairline, you need to add hair from the front each time you pass the outer strand over, but not add hair when you pass the inner strand over. This will pull the braid around the face, but keep a defined edge where it meets the rest of the hair.

step three: Pass inner strand over middle strand
Take the inner strand of hair (nearest the crown) and pass it over the middle strand.

step four: Pass outer strand over middle strand
Then take the outer strand (nearest the face), add a little more hair from the front, and pass it over the middle strand.

step five: Pass inner strand over middle strand
Go to the back to the inner strand (nearest the crown) and pass it over the middle strand again without adding any extra hair from the back.

step six: Pass outer strand over middle strand
Go back to the outer strand (nearest the face), add a small amount of hair again before passing over the middle strand.

step seven: Continue this technique
Continue this technique, only adding hair from the strand nearest the face each time.

step eight: Secure end of braid
Secure the end of the braid behind the ear with a hair grip.

step nine: Spray hair with curl hold spray
Prep the rest of the hair with ghd curl hold spray.

step ten: Take ear-to-ear section
Take a section at the bottom of the head from ear to ear.

step eleven: Place styler at root, rotate half turn and glide
Place ghd platinum® styler at the root, rotate half a turn and glide to the ends.

step twelve: Repeat step 11, working in opposite direction
On the next section, repeat the curl but rotate the styler in the opposite direction. This will increase texture and a natural finish.

step thirteen: Continue to curl all hair, alternating direction each time
Continue repeating this technique to the top of the head, always alternating the direction of the styler rotation.

step fourteen: Work through hair with detangling comb
Gently brush through the curls with a ghd detangling comb.
