HOW TO CREATE A BRAIDED HALF UP HAIRSTYLE:

1. Prep the hair with product

2. Take a section from the right-hand side of the head
and clip it up

3. Place the styler below a small section of hair

4. Twist wrap the hair around the wand and hold

5. Drop the curl into your hand and allow to set

6. On the next section, place the styler above the hair
and repeat the twist, wrap and drop technique

7. Continue working in small sections until all the
hair is curled

8. Take two sections of hair from either side of the
parting at the front

9. Divide the right-hand section into three and plait until
you reach the ends

10. Secure with an elastic

11. Repeat on the opposite side

12. Pinch and pull both braids all the way to the ends

13. Take the braids and wrap around to the back of the head

14. Bring the two together and tie into a simple knot,
securing with pins

15. Pinch the roots to loosen the crown section and create volume

Prep the hair with product

Spritz dry locks with ghd curl hold spray for long-lasting waves.

Take a section from the right-hand side of the head

At the hairline, take a 4cm-wide section of hair from the right-hand side of your parting and clip it up and out of the way to help make curling easier.

Place the styler below a small section of hair

From the remaining section of hair below, take a one to two-inch section and place the ghd curve® creative curl wand underneath it near the root.

Twist wrap the hair around the wand and hold

Wind the section of hair around the barrel of the styler and hold for five to eight seconds.

Drop the curl into your hand to set

Drop and cup the curl in your hand to allow it to cool and set.

Place the styler above the hair and repeat the technique

Take the next section of hair and now place the styler at the root above the piece. Use the same twist wrap and drop technique from steps four and five.

Continue working in small sections

Repeat steps two to six through your locks until you’ve created a full mane of curls. Alternating the wand above and below the sections will give you a more natural, textured finish.

At your hairline, take two sections

Take the right-hand section, divide it into three and use a classic plaiting technique to braid it all the way to the ends.

Secure with an elastic

Use a hair tie to secure the plait.

Pick up the braids and bring them around to the back of the head.
