70s inspiration: How to make hair wavy
1. Prep hair with product
2. Dry in using a hairdryer
3. Section hair
4. Curl hair, a section at a time
5. Repeat throughout the hair
6. Work fingers through finished curls

step one: Prep hair with product
To prepare dry hair, spritz generously with ghd curl hold spray. This will help your wavy hairstyle last all day long, without feeling heavy.

step two: Dry in using a hair dryer
Using the ghd air® hair dryer, fully dry the product into your hair to prepare your hair for the next steps in heat styling.

step three: Section hair
Create a centre parting using the ghd paddle brush to smooth the hair. Then, on one side, create a diagonal section from the centre parting back to the nape of the neck.
Tip: Use the ghd tail comb for extra definition when parting the hair

step four: Curl hair, a section at a time
Take a one inch section of hair and place it between the plates of the ghd platinum+ styler. Then, slowly rotate it 180 degrees and gently glide through to the ends of the hair.

step five: Repeat throughout the hair
Using the technique above, style the hair in sections until you have defined curls across your whole head.

step six: Work fingers through finished curls
Once you’ve curled your whole head and the style has cooled from the heat styling, loosen and stretch the twists and twirls with your fingertips to create a voluminous wavy hairstyle. Finish the whole look with a generous mist of ghd final fix hairspray to smooth any flyaways and lock in your look.
