ghd Platinum+ Flat Iron (1 inch plate) White

I received this product from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. The good : 1. Heats up quickly - compared to my current and past flat irons, this heats up a lot faster than any other I have ever owned. It beeps when it is ready, which is nice so that I can do my makeup while I wait for the iron to heat up. 2. No catching hair - the iron part is very smooth. I have a lot of hair and have been using it for the past three days and never caught a strand. 3. Beautiful shine. 4. The silicone cover - It keeps everything (the counter and the user’s hand) safe! The bad (not so bad) : 1. Only one setting for the temperature - it heats up to 365F (185C). My hair is thick and on the coarse side, so it was fine but still higher than my usual temp of 320F (160C). This might be an issue for users with finer hair to use on a daily basis. 2. No locking mechanism - it needs to be handled with care, especially for people with young children. I didn’t think much of the weight of the product - I think it’s probably about the same as the other ones I own. The 1’ width allows me to add curl (I didn’t in the photo because my hair is not that long). I am very happy with the end results of my hair and will continue to use this hair iron. I took one star off because it inability to close when not in use and It is a bit pricey. I cannot casually recommend it to “everyone,” due to the cost, but for those who are looking for a high-quality flat iron, this is a great option.

I think this is a good straightner. I love how sleek it looks, it works great. However I do find the price to be a little on the pricey side. I also feel like it's a little clunky to use to curl hair, probably best for straightening. Also it not having an option to choose temperature I don't like. It's a good straightner, but the price is a little steep.

This ghd Platinum plus 1" flat iron does a great job of straightening, curling or waving hair. It has an 8.8 foot long 360° swivel cord that never gets in the way. The 3.54" long plates are large enough for my longer hair. It fully heats up in seconds, to a pre-set temperature of 365°, which is optimal for styling most hair types. You'll want to use a heat protectant, especially if you have fine hair like I do. Fortunately, it works on one pass, and the result is shiny, smooth hair that lasts for 2-3 days. The barrel is a perfect shape for curling, there are no lines or creases left in my hair after use. It does not pull my hair either. The hinge is also of great quality, and I love the power button. Long press to turn it off. It automatically turns off after 30 minutes of no use for safety, and it comes with a silicone sleeve that you can use while the iron is hot to prevent heat mishaps. I used to think there was no difference between a $60 iron and a $300 iron, but I was wrong. I will never go back to cheap hair tools that do not help my hair hold a style.

I love love love this GHD platinum styler. Heats up very fast, no need to set the temp, temp is set at 365F which is amazing for my hair type. It left my hair smooth with just on pass, very shiny and smooth.
