1 Terms & Conditions

1.1 These are the Terms and Conditions which apply to ghd’s Trade-In Program (the “Trade-In Program”). By participating in the Trade-In Program, you will have the option to purchase a new full price ghd Chronos or Chronos Max hair flat iron (“new flat iron”) from ghdhair.com/usa (as appropriate, our “Website”) and receive a rebate of a portion of that purchase price when you trade in your old flat iron (the “old flat iron”). The Trade-In Program applies in respect of purchases of ghd Chronos and ghd Chronos Max only. The Trade-In Program does not apply to any other ghd flat iron or the ghd Hair flat iron Bundle. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully to find out further details about how the Trade-In Program works.

1.2 This promotion is run by GHD North America LLC and its affiliates. GHD may be contacted at 4500 Park Granada, Suite 100, Calabasas, CA 91302. 1.3 The Trade-In Program is a short-term promotion which will be available from 21st January 2026 until 11th February 2026 (or such earlier date as required depending on stock availability) (the “Promotion Period”). The Trade-In Program is solely open to USA residents of any of the 50 states or D.C. (void in jurisdictions where prohibited), and you must be over the age of 18 to participate.

1.4 Only old devices which are electrical hair flat irons may be traded in as part of the Trade-In Program. The Trade-In Program only applies when you buy a ghd Chronos or Chronos Max flat iron and is subject to availability.

1.5 The offer is limited to two (2) purchases of new flat iron per customer, after which any additional purchases under the Trade-In Program may be rejected at our sole discretion. We may also refuse to accept or cancel any orders placed under the Trade-In Program where we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraudulent activity.

1.6 Only new flat iron purchased at full price are eligible for the Trade-In Program. The Trade-In Program cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

1.7 ghd reserves the right to amend or suspend the Trade-In Program at any time.

2 The Trade-In Program – How it works

2.1 To participate in the Trade-In Program, you must purchase a full price ghd Chronos or Chronos Max hair flat iron via the Website and enter the code “TRADEIN” at checkout to notify us that you want to trade in your old flat iron as part of the Trade-In Program. When you complete your purchase, please be aware that the new flat iron will be purchased at full price. You can purchase your new flat iron using any of the payment methods available on our Website (including Klarna).

2.2 You will receive your new flat iron along with an envelope and a prepaid return shipping label, which you can use to send your old flat iron to us.

2.3 You must safely package up your old flat iron in the packaging we provide and send it to us within thirty (30) days of purchasing your new flat iron. Please obtain and retain proof of postage in case your parcel gets lost in transit.

2.4 Once we have received your old flat iron back from you, we will check that it is eligible for participation in the Trade-In Program and that the relevant criteria have been met (set out in Section 3 below, the “Eligibility Criteria”). Once this has been verified, we will issue you a payment in the form of a rebate via your original payment method for the new flat iron within fourteen (14) days of receiving the old flat iron from you.

2.5 Subject to meeting the Eligibility Criteria, the rebate will be in the following amount: $125. If you purchased your new flat iron using Klarna, your rebate will be issued via Klarna and handled by them directly. If you do not receive your rebate from Klarna, you must contact Klarna directly.

2.6 Once your rebate has been issued, please allow 3-5 days for the funds to reach your account, although note this may differ from bank to bank and if you originally paid via Klarna.

2.7 The Trade-In Program code can only be used once for each purchase of a new ghd Chronos or ghd Chronos Max flat iron, meaning the maximum price reduction is set out in Section 2.5 above, and for up to a maximum of two purchases.

2.8 ghd’s Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale (which can be found here), will apply to the purchase of your new flat iron, save as varied by these Trade-In Program terms and conditions. These Trade-In Program Terms and Conditions do not apply to normal purchases made from our Website.

3 Your old flat iron

3.1 Once we have received your old flat iron, you acknowledge that it becomes ghd’s property and we will be unable to return it to you. This applies whether or not your old flat iron meets the Eligibility Criteria below, and even if you change your mind about participating in the Trade-In Program.

3.2 To participate in the Trade-In Program and receive your rebate, you must send us your old flat iron within thirty (30) days of purchasing your new flat iron. The following Eligibility Criteria will apply in order to qualify for the rebate on your new flat iron under the Trade-In Program:

(a) Your old flat iron may be manufactured by any manufacturer. Your old flat iron may be of any brand.

(b) Other hair tools, such as hair dryers, curling irons, and brushes, whether or not manufactured by ghd, are not eligible for the Trade-In Program.

(c) Your old flat iron does not need to be in working order, but it must be in one piece with cord and plug still attached.

3.3 If you fail to send us your old flat iron within thirty (30) days of purchasing the new flat iron, or if upon inspection your old flat iron is not an eligible product or does not meet the above criteria, you will not be able to participate in the Trade-In Program and we reserve the right not to issue, or to cancel, the rebate against the purchase of your new flat iron. If in these circumstances you wish to return the new flat irons to us, you may do so in accordance with our standard returns policy.

3.4 When you return your old flat iron to us, we work with a waste disposal partner to dispose of your old flat iron.

4 Your rights

4.1 If you change your mind about the purchase of your new flat iron via our Website, you are entitled to cancel your order and return it in accordance with our Returns Policy, which can be found on our Website.

4.2 Participating in the Trade-In Program does not affect your statutory rights under applicable law.

5 Data Privacy

5.1 We will use the personal information you provide to us in accordance with our Privacy Notice, which you can find here. You agree that you have read and understood the Privacy Notice by participating in the Trade-In Program.

6 Other Important Terms

6.1 We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms and conditions to another organization. You may only transfer your rights or your obligations under these terms and conditions to another person if we agree in writing.

6.2 This contract is between you and ghd. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.

6.3 Each of the paragraphs of these terms and conditions operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining terms will remain in full force and effect.

6.4 If we fail to insist that you perform any of your obligations under these terms and conditions, if we do not enforce our rights against you or if we delay in doing so, that will not mean that you do not have to do those things, and it will not prevent us taking steps against you at a later date. For example, if you do not pay and we do not request payment but deliver the new flat iron to you, we can still require you to make a payment at a later date.

6.5 These terms and conditions are governed by California law, and you and we expressly submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California for all claims or controversies arising out of or relating to these terms and conditions and waive any argument of forum non conveniens, lack of personal jurisdiction, or improper venue with respect to the foregoing fora.
