Here’s how to create a waterfall braid
1. Prep hair with root lift spray and dry at roots
2. Create centre parting and start French plait
3. Drop the last strand of hair after each pass
4. Tie two braids in a knot and secure
5. Loosely curl remaining hair
6. Repeat curling and loosen curls with fingers

step one: Prep hair with root lift spray and dry at roots
Lightly spritz ghd root lift spray then blow-dry at the roots using ghd aura® hairdryer to create volume.

step two: Create centre parting and start French plait
Centre part your hair then begin to French plait on one side. To do this, work the outside pieces of hair into your braid after each pass.

step three: Drop the last strand of hair after each pass
To create the waterfall effect, drop the last strand of hair after each pass. Repeat this technique on both sides of the head.

step four: Tie two braids in a knot and secure
Once both sides of the head are complete, take the ends of each braided hair section and tie them together in a knot at the centre before securing with pins.
Tip: Tie hair around the knot and secure with grips to hide the fixture

step five: Loosely curl remaining hair
Using the ghd platinum® styler loosely curl the remaining hair by placing the styler at the roots, turning 180 degrees and gliding through to the ends. This will create a natural curl.

step six: Repeat curling and loosen curls with fingers
Repeat throughout until all hair is curled. Then, break up the curls by running your fingers through your hair and add texture by gently rubbing strands of hair with your fingers. Spritz with ghd final fix hairspray to finish.
