How to create an easy twisted updo
1. Split hair into four sections
2. Tightly twist each piece
3. Loosen each twist by pulling out random hairs
4. Coil back up to root and secure with grips
5. Repeat until all hair has been pinned up
6. Personalise your look

step one: Split hair into four sections
Take your hair and create four evenly sized sections – these sections will be the base of the twisted updo.

step two: Tightly twist each piece
Starting from the bottom of the section, tightly twist the hair up towards the head. Repeat this for all four sections of hair.

step three: Loosen each twist by pulling out random hairs
To create that messy style, begin to pull out random hairs from each section to loosen the twists.

step four: Coil back up to root and secure with grips
With one of the twisted sections, coil the hair back up to root and secure the twist into place using grips.

step five: Repeat until all hair has been pinned up
Repeat this technique until all four sections have been pinned up at the root.

step six: Personalise your look
To add that personalised touch to your twisted updo, be haphazard with your styling. Don’t be afraid to loosen your twists out more before pinning them up.
