What's the difference between ghd Duet Style and ghd Chronos?
ghd Duet Style dries and straightens towel dried hair in one step, using hot air and low-temperature plates. ghd Chronos is a hair straightener for hair that is already dry, using HD motion-responsive™ technology at 185°C. Compare our 2-in-1 wet to dry tools.
Is ghd Duet Style a wet to dry straightener?
Yes. In wet-to-style mode, ghd Duet Style dries and straightens towel dried hair in one pass, using 150°C airflow and plates at a low 120°C. Glide it from root to tip, section by section. Our tests found no thermal hair damage after 100 cycles of four passes. See our Duet Style tutorials.
Can you use ghd Duet Style on dry hair?
Yes, in Shine Shot mode. Shine Shot turns off the airflow so ghd Duet Style works as a straightener at 185°C, to smooth and add shine to dry hair or refresh second-day hair. Use wet-to-style mode for towel dried hair.
Why is my ghd Duet Style flashing red or switching off?
A flashing red light indicates that your ghd Duet Style has entered safe mode to help protect the tool. Switch the unit off, unplug it for 5-10 seconds, then plug it back in and restart. If the red light continues to flash, please contact ghd Customer Support for assistance.
Can I use ghd Duet Style in other countries?
Yes, in countries with a 220-240V supply, such as New Zealand, the UK and EU countries. Use a plug adaptor in the UK and EU countries. ghd Duet Style is not dual voltage and is not designed for 100-120V countries such as the US and Japan. For those trips, ghd Flight+ is our dual-voltage travel hair dryer.
Which carry case fits ghd Duet Style?
The ghd 2-in-1 heat-resistant wet-to-dry bag and mat fits ghd Duet Style. Use the bag to store and carry it, and unroll it as a heat-resistant mat while you style. It is heat-resistant up to 185°C.
How long is the warranty on ghd Duet Style?
