What's the difference between ghd Duet Style and ghd Chronos?
ghd Duet Style takes towel-dried hair to straight in one step with hot air and low-temperature plates, while ghd Chronos straightens hair that is already dry, with HD motion-responsive™ technology at 185°C. Compare our 2-in-1 wet-to-dry tools.
Is ghd Duet Style a wet to dry straightener?
Yes. Its wet to style mode dries and straightens towel-dried hair in one pass, with airflow at 150°C and plates at a low 120°C. Work in sections, gliding from root to tip. In our testing, no thermal hair damage was found after 100 cycles of four passes. Watch our Duet Style tutorials.
Can you use ghd Duet Style on dry hair?
Yes. Switch to Shine Shot mode, which works without airflow at 185°C like a ghd styler. Use it to smooth dry hair, add shine or revive second-day hair. For towel dried hair, use wet to style mode instead.
Why is my ghd Duet Style flashing red or switching off?
A flashing red light indicates that your ghd Duet Style has entered safe mode to help protect the tool. Switch the unit off, unplug it for 5-10 seconds, then plug it back in and restart. If the red light continues to flash, please contact ghd Customer Support for assistance.
Can I use ghd Duet Style in other countries?
ghd Duet Style is designed to operate with a 220-240V power supply, so it can only be used in countries where this voltage is available. We recommend checking the voltage at your destination before travelling to ensure your hot air styler is suitable for use.
