Not as good as previous GHD

I purchased during the sales so thought I was getting a good deal. I have been using the same GHD for 12yrs so thought it was time for an upgrade. The plates on the new one seem smaller, even though they are the same as my old one. The quality seems very different, like the new one is plastic and cheap but my old feels durable and solid. The new one is a bit chunkier too, so hard to grasp in my hand. Overall not overly impressed, thankful I kept my old one.
