STEP-BY-STEPS

How to straighten a wig
1.Middle part the hair and section into two
2.Take one side and part equally into 3
3.Begin to braid section, adding in hair as you go
4.Continue technique to the end, keeping braid braid as flat and tight to the scalp as possible
5.Repeat on the other side of the head
6.Pin braids flat to the back of the head
7.Place and pin wig onto a mannequin head
8.Section hair
9. Take a square section and place ghd platinum+
10. Glide styler to the ends of section
11. Repeat throughout the wig
12. Unpin the wig and place onto head
13. Brush hair smooth
14. Finish with final shine spray

step one: Middle part the hair and section into two
Split the hair into two sides of the head so we can braid the hair for the base of the wig

step two: Take one side and part equally into 3
Starting at one side, part equally into 3 to start the braid

step three: Begin to braid section, adding in hair as you go
Pass the left strand over the centre strand, picking up a small section of hair as you pass. Next, pass the right strand over centre, picking up another small section of hair as you go

step four: Continue technique to the end, keeping braid as flat and tight to the scalp as possible
Continue the technique to the bottom of the hair, pulling the braid as flat and tight to the scalp as possible and secure with an elastic

step five: Repeat on the other side of the head
Repeat braid on the other side of the head

step six: Pin braids flat to the back of the head
Pull the braids up and pin flat to the back of the head

step seven: Place and pin wig onto a mannequin head
Take your wig* and pin onto a mannequin head

step eight: Section hair
Section the top half of the wig up

step nine: Take a square section and place ghd platinum+
Take 2 inch square section and place ghd platinum+ at the root

step ten: Glide styler to the ends of section
Close the plates gently and glide to the bottom of the section

step eleven: Repeat throughout the wig
Repeat throughout the wig, working in sections polishing the hair

step twelve: Unpin the wig and place onto head
Remove the pins and pick up the wig, turn it upside down with the fringe section towards you. Line the front of the wig up with your hairline and flip back over. Hold the front and back of the wig with both hands and gently shake into a comfortable position

step thirteen: Brush hair smooth
Brush hair smooth into place for a natural appearance

step fourteen: Finish with final shine spray
Spray ghd final shine spray onto the brush and smooth through again. Use your hands to part the fringe and sweep over the eyes.
