4 STEPS TO UPGRADE

STEP 1

Select your ghd Chronos or ghd Chronos Max straightener, available in either black or white. 

STEP 2

Use code UPGRADE at checkout to let us know that you want to trade in your old ghd straightener.

STEP 3

When you receive your new ghd Chronos or ghd Chronos Max, complete the returns form, insert your old ghd straightener into the courier bag provided and contact our Customer Service team within 5 working days to arrange the collection from you. 

STEP 4

Once we have received your old ghd straightener, we will verify it & send R1500 to the bank account used for the purchase. You will receive your refund within 3-5 working days.

How do I upgrade my ghd straightener?

You can upgrade your old ghd straightener to a ghd Chronos or ghd Chronos Max straightener, and get a partial refund of R1 500.00 for your new ghd Chronos or ghd Chronos Max straightener, by trading in your old ghd straightener . To trade in your old straightener via our website, you must enter code UPGRADE at check-out when purchasing your ghd Chronos or ghd Chronos Max straightener, to indicate your participation. You will need to arrange collection with us, of your old ghd straightener within 5 days of receiving your new straightener to qualify for your partial refund. Once we receive and verify that your old straightener has met the eligibility criteria for the upgrade, we will issue a partial refund of R1 500.00 to your original payment method within 3-5 days. How and when do I get the R1 500.00 back if I participate in the Upgrade Programme via the ghd Website?

You must send us your old straightener within 5 days of receiving your ghd Chronos or ghd Chronos Max straightener, by contacting Customer Service to arrange collection and your old straightener must meet the eligibility criteria in the Upgrade Programme Terms and Conditions. Can I trade in my old straightener if it’s broken?

Your old straightener must be a genuine ghd straightener (but can be any model). It does not need to be in working order, but it must be in one piece with the cord and plug still attached. We cannot accept any other brand hair straighteners or other ghd products, such as hair dryers, curlers, wetline products, brushes or accessories. How do I send back my old ghd straightener?

When you purchase your ghd Chronos or ghd Chronos Max straightener using the code UPGRADE at check-out, you will receive an informational leaflet in the box with your new tool, detailing instructions on how to arrange collection of your old straightener. After your new straightener is delivered, package up your old straightener into the Skynet flyer bag provided and send it to ghd within 5 days by simply contacting us to arrange collection with our courier partner, Skynet. In this way, we will bear the cost of sending your old straightener to us. When you return your old ghd straightener to us, we work with a trusted waste disposal partner to ensure these tools are recycled where possible or otherwise disposed of responsibly, at our own cost.
