Here’s how to create side swept waves
1. Take a small section of hair
2. Place hair between styler plates, twist 90° away from face and pull through to the ends
3. This creates a ribbon curl
4. Repeat steps 2 & 3, curling in the same direction
5. Work through until you reach the back of the head
6. On other side of head, curl hair with styler
7. Work curls in waves with ghd detangling comb
8. Sweep hair over, twist across nape and secure

step one: Take a small section of hair
Create a side parting on one side of your head and clip away the top section. Then, take a 1-2 inch section of hair from the side.

step two: Place hair between styler plates, twist 90° away from face and pull through to the ends
Take the sectioned hair and place in between the plates of your ghd styler. To create a curl, twist the styler 90° away from your face then gently glide the styler through to your hair ends.

step three: This creates a ribbon curl
Ensuring you keep the styler twisted at 90° will allow you to create a ribbon curl.

step four: Repeat steps 2 & 3, curling in the same direction
Continue to curl hair, using all the remaining sections of hair and curling your hair in the same direction.

step five: Work through until you reach the back of the head
Curl your way around all the hair until your reach the back of your head.

step six: On other side of head, curl hair with styler
Then start the curling process on the other side, always curling the hair away from the face.

step seven: Work curls in waves with detangling comb
Taking a ghd detangling comb, brush through each section, working from the underneath to break up the curl into waves.

step eight: Sweep hair over, twist across nape and secure
Sweep hair to one side, then twist the hair across the nape of the neck from one to the other and secure with a hair grip.
