We have raised over $25 million for breast cancer charities globally with R100 donated from every pink product purchased.
Help us on this journey.
The PinkDrive® NPC’s cardinal purpose is to contribute meaningfully towards preventing as many people as it can, from succumbing to breast, cervical, prostate, and testicular cancer. Its primary focus is on citizens without access to reasonable care for these conditions, and who reside in areas where health services do not reach.
They recognise that treatable cancers receiving even the basic levels of care could translate into varying lengths of extended life for the afflicted when detected and treated early. Their mandate is to promote awareness and early detection of, and screening for gender-related cancers in the general population of South Africa, using the message, “Early detection will help to prolong life.”
It's important to check your breasts regularly and to make sure you are aware of the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. There's no special way to check your breasts, and checking your breasts is as easy as TLC:
- Touch your breasts: can you feel anything new or unusual?
- Look for changes: does anything look different to you?
- Check: any new or unusual changes with a GP.
Everyone will have their way of touching and looking for changes. Check your whole breast area, including up to your collarbone (upper chest) and armpits. Our annual pink campaigns spotlight the importance of self-checking because early diagnosis of breast cancer can prolong lives.
