How do I trade in my old electrical hair tool?

You can trade in your old electrical hair tool and receive a partial refund of $150 when you purchase a new full-price ghd chronos or ghd chronos max straightener, or $100 when you purchase a new full-price ghd chronos curve classic tong, ghd chronos curve grand tong, ghd chronos curve max wand or ghd chronos curve conical wand. To participate, enter the code TRADEIN at checkout when purchasing an eligible product. Your new tool will arrive with a return information card containing a QR code to create a free return shipping label. Simply send your old electrical hair tool to ghd within 14 days of receiving your new tool to qualify for your partial refund. How and when will I receive my partial refund?

You must return your old electrical hair tool within 14 days of receiving your new straightener or curler using the free return label generated via the QR code included with your order. Once your returned tool has been received and verified as eligible, ghd will process a partial refund to your original payment method within 14 days. Eligible straightener purchases will receive a $150 refund, while eligible curler purchases will receive a $100 refund. Please refer to the full Trade-In Programme Terms and Conditions.

Can I trade in my old electrical hair tool if it is broken?

Yes. Your trade-in item does not need to be in working order. Eligible trade-in products include genuine electrical hair styling tools from any brand, such as straighteners, curlers, hair dryers, hot brushes, hot air stylers and similar electrical styling tools. However, the product must be complete, with the cord and plug still attached. Non-electrical products, styling products and accessories are not eligible. How do I return my old electrical hair tool?

When you purchase an eligible ghd chronos straightener or ghd chronos curve curler using the code TRADEIN, you will receive a return information card with your order. Use the QR code provided to generate your free return shipping label. After receiving your new tool, securely package your old electrical hair tool and return it to ghd within 14 days. What happens to my old electrical hair tool?

All returned electrical hair tools are handled responsibly through our e-waste recycling partner, The Doc Shop, which securely and ethically recycles or disposes of returned products.

When does the Trade-In Programme end?

The Trade-In Programme is available from 6:00pm AEST on 25 August 2026 until 5:30pm AEST on 15 September 2026. The offer is subject to stock availability and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion, discount or sale. ghd reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the promotion at any time.
